DIABETES SPECIAL- METHI(FENUGREEK) SALAD

5th Nov-11th Nov 2017 We are celebrating NATIONAL DIABETES EDUCATION WEEK (NDEW). We need to spread awareness about this chronic disease. It’s not that you have to say NO to sweets, it’s just that you need to have a proper diet.
A doctor can explain you more about this sweet disease but We can definitely suggest you some tasty and DIABETES SPECIAL RECIPES.
Let’s make a healthy salad recipe which will help to control blood sugar level-

INGREDIENTS:-
1 cup fresh Fenugreek (Methi)
1 carrot
1 onion
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¼ cup peanuts
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon Chat Masala
Pinch of red chili powder
1 teaspoon Oil
1/8th teaspoon Mustard seeds
Pinch of asafetida (heeng)
Pinch of turmeric

METHOD:-
1.  Chop all veggies (Fenugreek, carrot, tomato, cucumber and onion)
2.  In a bowl add all the chopped ingredients.
3.  To this add salt, lemon juice, chat masala, red chili powder and mix all ingredients.
4.  For Tempering- heat oil in a pan
5.  Add mustard seeds, asafetida, turmeric
6.  Pour this tempering over the salad.
7.  Mix it well and serve it.
8.  Enjoy it with healthy Ragi Papad.
